1. My heart is stirred up by a noble theme.
as I sing my verses for the mighty King.
My tongue will praise the Messiah!

2. Excellent! You are most excellent of men,
and your lips are full of many gracious words,
for God has blessed you, forever.

3. Gird your sword upon your thigh O Mighty One!
Clothe yourself in splendor and your majesty.
Ride forth in majesty to victory!

4. For the cause of truth and righteousness;
let your right hand show us awesome deeds,
and let the nations fall beneath your feet.

5. Your throne God will last forevermore.
You love right and hate the wickedness,
so God has showered you with gladness.

6. Rise up Lord, and lead your troops against the foe!
Crush the kings who rage against your holy name!
And rule the nations from Zion.

7. Jesus reigns as King of Heaven and of Earth.
He is Lord, and all the peoples bow to Him.
Therefore the nations will praise You forever, and ever, and ever!
